ONE OF THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE WORLD, WILL CELEBRATE MEXICO’S BICENTENARY PRESENTING RANKIN LIVE MEXICO

From October 23rd, 2010 to January 22nd, 2011 Mexicans will be able to enjoy RANKIN LIVE at Estación Indianilla Centro Cultural. RANKIN LIVE is an exhibition that shows the retrospective of the artist and the 100 photo sessions that will be held in Mexico.

Mexico City, September 22nd, 2010. 212 Productions announced that the exhibit RANKIN LIVE would be presented in the Centro Cultural Estación Indianilla, starting October 23rd. RANKIN LIVE is an interactive exhibition whit more than 160 photographs that shows a retrospective of 23 years of RANKIN’S work as a director and photographer, featuring international personalities such as the Queen of England, Madonna, Heidi Klum, Kate Moss, and many other politicians, celebrities and models.

RANKIN, the artist who has photographed the most famous faces in the world, will shoot 100 people representing the spirit of Mexico City from October 19th to 22nd, 2010.

The outdoors exhibition allows discovering the potential of public spaces with free access, for the promotion and dissemination of culture, offering the circulation and coexistence of various audiences.

In this sense, the fact that in this precious opportunity RANKIN has chosen Mexico as the place for its next exhibition talks about the Mexican cultural awareness that is growing in all social strata and is given to know the work and inspiration of international artists.

The exhibitions in public spaces which promote the Secretaría de Cultura del Distrito Federal (Culture of Mexico City) offers a world of urban art, expressed in images of large format, approaching the creators to communities and promotes the appreciation of artistic and cultural activities.

RANKIN exhibition in Paseo de la Reforma, is the ideal complement to cover the visit of a Charismatic Photographer to our country, exhibition that will consist of 33 different images of the shown at the Cultural Center.

RANKIN LIVE MEXICO

Rankin has photographed all types of personalities like the Queen of England and Kate Moss and for this exhibition project Rankin Live Mexico, he will shoot at 100 (or more) people to create a unique photographic record of Mexico. Each portrait will be exhibited alongside the iconic images of Rankin in this groundbreaking project.

The first event, RANKIN LIVE MEXICO will begin at the arrival of Rankin where he will be greeted by some selected press. For 5 days, photographer Rankin will be taking pictures of the selected participants in a live photo shoot, where the participants will see Rankin taking pictures and walk through the exhibit in advance, before its inauguration and opening to the public. The event RANKIN LIVE MEXICO will be held at Estación Indianilla Centro Cultural that will serve as the photographer’s studio during his stay in our country as well as Gallery to display the retrospective.
