Scott Caan’s Photos Exhibited in Panama March 2nd & 3rd

This past Friday and Saturday saw a whole other part of the world being exposed to the photographs of Scott Caan, who currently portrays Danny “Danno” Williams on the successful CBS reboot Hawaii Five-0. Prior to becoming a household name with this role, Caan wrote, directed, produced and starred in several of his own independent films, including The Dog Problem with Giovanni Ribisi, Dallas 362 with Jeff Goldblum and Mercy with his father, James Caan.

As if the ability to play almost every role – both in front of the cameras and behind them – wasn’t enough, Caan found another love which he’s proven to be good at: photography. So much so that in 2008 he published a book of his own photographs called ‘Scott Caan Photographs Vol. 1,” which contained both color and black- and-white pictures he took, through Rat Press. It was edited and designed by Howard Nourmand, founder and creative director of the Los Angeles- based production company Grand Jeté.

Hawaii Five-0 Online has in the past reported on various of Caan’s photographs being displayed at different exhibits in Los Angeles, and most recently, one of his shots taken at the Cannes Film Festival was auctioned off in support of the Art of Elysium, a charity which “encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who

are battling serious medical conditions.” (Art of Elysium website) The only public involvement in the internet that the self-professed private man really has, is his photography website (which you can take a look at by clicking here), opting not to participate in such social media sites as Facebook and Twitter.

Well, now Caan’s unique style and eye for what makes a good photo are no longer limited to those outside of Los Angeles having to see it only via his website or by purchasing his book. Because on March 2nd and 3rd, there was a full exhibit of his photographs at the Hotel Manrey in Panama City, Panama. Already internationally well-known for some of his work as an actor – especially with Hawaii Five-0 being broadcast in so many countries the world ’round – he’s now expanded the rest of his creative talent beyond the borders of North America to share it with fans who might not normally have an opportunity to see it in person.

The following press release was issued on February 28th, explaining how and why this exhibit in Panama came to be:
